We serve our local community by partnering with a Westshore bakery to distribute their day end bread to families and individuals. Every Tuesday night the bread is collected from the store, brought to the church to bag and then out it goes into the community.

This partnership allows us to give back to both the local and international and community!  The warehouse collects donations of quality medical equipment and supplies, clothing, linens, educational materials, tools, sewing machines, toys, bicycles and more.

Our team sorts and packs items that will be loaded into a 40-foot container and shipped to a responsible charity in an impoverished community to give to people in need. All items are shipped are clean, appropriate and in good repair.

Thursday night, 7-9 pm, bimonthly. Team Lead: April Cook

The creatives of our community use their abilities to produce
an environment through the arts for people to experience God
and strengthen the spoken word of a sermon series in our
Sunday gatherings. It is amazing to see how, what they are
given in prayer to create, lines up so beautifully with what
God is teaching us or the season we are in.

Team Lead: Linda Flynn

These teams serve in our Sunday gatherings, events and meetings. Their purpose is to lead the congregation to God, enabling them to praise and worship Him.  As everyone engages, people encounter God in unique, transforming ways.  This can be through music or media, enhanced by the right acoustics.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, brings Good News and great joy to children around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. But that’s not all. Through The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson discipleship program for shoebox recipients, entire communities are transformed by the Gospel. This team coordinates the annual shoebox drive in October through to the delivery of collected boxes mid November. It is exciting to learn where the boxes will go and how much of a blessing it is for each child.  What a privilege to love in this way.
Team Lead: Christine Vanderweerd

Our Sunday gathering has lots of little details that make it happen smoothly, which opens up the door for us to serve each other.  From preparing tea and coffee, communion elements, setting up the children’s activity tables, putting out parking signs, to making sure the ForgeKids registration station and the Giving Kiosk are set up. When we finish, the team cleans it up in the various areas. To make the load light, a Connect Groups Rotation works beautifully.  Not in one? Form your own team.

Team Lead: Jenn Turnbull

Team members rotate weekly as Giving Kiosk operators and as tellers of the tithes and offerings received in the gathering. It is a vital role that they play in assisting the church in being a good steward of the funds it is given.
